Join us in the Acute Care Division as Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) for Urgent and Emergency Care at MYTT, where your expertise and sound clinical leadership will directly influence patient outcomes, staff development, and service innovation.
The post holder will be expected to provide visible leadership to our ACP teams across all three sites; Pinderfields Emergency Department, Dewsbury Emergency Department and Pontefract Urgent Treatment Centre.

Main duties
As The Lead ACP, You Will Be a Clinical And Strategic Leader Within Our Urgent And Emergency Care Services. Working At The Forefront Of Patient Care, You Will
- Professionally lead the ACP’s and Trainee ACP's in emergency and urgent care. This will include supporting their personal development as well as helping guide and develop their roles within their specialities.
- Provide full line-management responsibilities including induction, appraisal, development and workforce retention as well as managing sickness and absence, disciplinary and performance issues that may arise.
- Lead and support organisational change and wider organisational strategy to ensure efficient service delivery, productivity and compliance with National Urgent and Emergency Care targets.
- Contribute to the writing and submissions of future ACP/advanced practice workforce business plans, supporting the current budgets.
- To implement and lead the standardisation of advanced roles within urgent and emergency care; in line with the Trust ACP/advanced practice strategic plans
- Motivate, inspire and develop the ACP workforce in achieving excellence in their role; maximising potential, encouraging everyone to learn from each other and from external good practice
- To influence the governance agenda for the team and specialty by developing systems of governance to support adherence to professional accountability and assurance ACP frameworks
- Provides leadership and support to the investigation and response to incidents and complaints
- Work alongside the corporate lead for advanced clinical practice, director for advanced practice, and others within the multidisciplinary team to ensure there are agreed competencies and wider governance structures for ACPs
- The post holder will deliver a 50% clinical component to their role. The remaining 50% will be related to their management, leadership, research, innovation and educational responsibilities.
- Current relevant registration with professional body (such as NMC or HCPC)
- Evidence of notably working towards RCEM credentialling
- Willingness to maintain RCEM e-portfolio and professional college memberships
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice
- Registered Independent Non-Medical prescriber
- Recognised leadership training/qualification and/or relevant experience
- Recognised teaching and assessing qualification and/or relevant experience
- Hold a current ALS provider qualification
- Significant experience in post as a qualified ACP within an Acute setting
- Management and leadership experience
- Experience in research and development
- Evidence of continued professional development following MSc completion including evidence of supplemented specialist training and competencies
