Assistant Site Manager

The Role

Due to rapid growth and continuous success we are delighted to confirm that we are currently seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join our Fortem team across the Grimsby and Boston areas. This is a permanent full time position assisting with the operational management of this social housing refurbishment programme.

The Project

Due to an increase in Retrofit projects, we are proud to advise this will be working within the Lincolnshire Housing Partnership social housing contract.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Assistant Site Manager responsibilities include:

* To Assist with the management and safe delivery of the social housing refurbishment works

* Reporting into the Site Manager you will have responsibility for all contractors and operational refurbishment/construction across tenanted properties

* To ensure all works carried out comply with BS7671 and any other relevant standards.

* To ensure that works instructions issued to trades or subcontractors are clear, unambiguous and represent a full and fair days' workload, at all times seeking to maximise productivity.

* To lead a team of supply chain partners to solve problems associated with carrying out their works.

* Carry out Ad Hoc safety inspections on supply chain partners

* Carry out WIPs on directly employed tradespeople

* Carry out Quality Inspections on all works

* Organise work activity and prioritisation for the team

* Complete an accident form in the presence of an injury

* Managing the Welfare facilities on site

* Supporting tenants on a daily basis and achieving excellent customer satisfaction

What Will You Need

Essential

* Experience of working within social housing refurbishment programmes

* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

* Problem solving skills, analytical capability

* Ability to work well under pressure

* IT skills, MS Office, ECDL, MS Project

* Ability to engage people and build strong working relations with trades, colleagues, client and managers

* Worked in a planned works environment/site

* CSCS Card Flexibility to undertake regular travel Desirable

* Experience in social housing repairs and maintenance

* Understanding of job costing Desirable

* SMSTS Experience of Retrofit projects PV, Heat Pumps, EWI/External Wall Insulation).
