Paediatric Deputy Sister

Maintain an age and development appropriate environment that promotes safety, security and optimal health for the child and the family. Facilitate and support the link worker role and support the development of other staff to undertake a link nurse role as designated by the Sister. Lead and delegate mandatory and other audit as required by the Trust Lead Unit meetings and deputise for Sister in their absence. Facilitate the cascading of information from other sources in the absence of the Ward Manager Awareness of organisational structure and the function of the Directorate within the organisation.

Participation in and promote others participation in Trust wide forums as designated by the Sister Prioritise care and delegate duties to others as appropriate ensuring they are supervised and mentored taking into account knowledge, skills and ability of others.
