Clinical Duties Undertake clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring, ECGs, urinalysis, and long-term condition monitoring and checks Conduct NHS Health Checks and assist with chronic disease monitoring. Support vaccination and immunisation programmes as required. Provide general health promotion advice, under supervision, including lifestyle support. Prepare and maintain clinical rooms and equipment.
Ensure infection control procedures are followed at all times. Apply dressings as per care plan or as instructed by GPs or practice nurses Assisting doctors with minor surgical and IUD/IUCD procedures. Chaperoning when requiredAdministrative and Organisational Duties Accurately record patient information and procedures using the clinical system (Emis) Manage stock levels and inform appropriate staff of any shortages. Ensure specimens are correctly labelled and handled, ready for transportation.
Support recall and follow-up processes for health screening or chronic disease management.Teamwork Work effectively with all members of the clinical and non-clinical team. Attend team meetings, training sessions, and contribute to ongoing service improvements. Maintain a flexible approach to cover the needs of the practice
