Job Introduction
Dudley Council's Home Improvement Service is a multi-disciplinary team located within the Housing directorate of Dudley Council. The work we do enables both vulnerable and disabled people to remain living independently and safe and warm in their homes. We do this by assisting them with building work to either adapt or repair their homes together with the supply and installation of domestic lifts and hoists and other forms of equipment. We also provide support for residents through the council's Energy Advice line
We are looking for a Technical Support Officer to join our friendly team
The Role
This role will see you supporting our team with a variety of tasks and responsibilities that will initially include the accurate inputting and collating of data and assisting in the management of adaptation providers with the option of extending support across the whole service area. You will be expected to communicate daily by telephone or by email with a wide variety of people, including service users

The successful candidate is likely to be an enthusiastic, responsible team player, who is committed to high standards of professionalism and customer care and able to work unsupervised and perform well to targets and deadlines. You should also display a real commitment to and empathy with the needs of older and disabled people and have a sensitive and discrete approach to confidential information
The job is for a full-time post working 37 hours a week
Salary Grade 5 - £25,584-£27,269
