Job Title: Care Quality Advisor
Location: Covering Birmingham, Derby, Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas
Hours: 37.5 per week (includes participation in SUI on-call rota)
Salary: Competitive + £5,800 car allowance benefit

At Anchor, we’re dedicated to delivering person-centred, high-quality care that honours and celebrates every individual. As a Care Quality Advisor, you’ll play a key role—coaching, supporting, and inspiring our care teams to achieve outstanding care across our Central services.
What does it mean to be a Care Quality Advisor at Anchor?
- Champion Outstanding Care Quality: You’ll support our operational colleagues to ensure all care practices meet and exceed regulatory standards, from leading care observations, providing honest feedback, and delivering engaging coaching sessions.
- Inspire Change that Lasts: You’ll help shape care practice nationally by updating policies, analysing quality data, and providing practical support across local and regional homes.
- A Trusted Expert: Being the go-to expect for practical advice, you’ll support our teams through medication management, regulatory compliance, care planning and dementia care.
- Team Collaboration: Working alongside District Managers to identify and manage risk at a service and individual resident level through hands on practical support.
- Implement Dementia Strategy: Working with Care Quality and Operations, you’ll help drive our dementia strategy across the country—sharing what works, building dementia-friendly pathways, and supporting colleagues to deliver compassionate, effective care.
Who are we looking for?
- Care Quality Champion: You know what it takes to deliver outstanding care and have a passion for coaching and developing others.
- Regulation Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of CQC Quality Statements, Health & Social Care Act (08,12,14), Mental Capacity Act (05) & DoLS
- Digital Platforms: You’re experienced in using digital platforms for care planning and medication management.
- Supportive Collaborator: You build strong relationships with colleagues and take a supportive, professional approach to driving high standards.
- Detail-Oriented: Able to evaluate service quality and articulate findings clearly and professionally.
- Clear Communicator: You can translate complex findings into accessible, solution-focused reports that inspire action and change.
