Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Manager
- Lead and influence the strategic sourcing activities for large-value, complex spend areas to align with the company\'s broader objectives and market strategies.
- Ensure innovative delivery sourcing, procurement, implementation, and contract management with a commercially sensible approach to add value.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage contracts and supplier relationships, maximising commercial and contractual benefits.
- Support and maintain all necessary processes for supplier management, claims management, benefits and savings, and continuous improvement targets.
- Improve passenger service with consideration of accessibility, ease of experience, and sustainable offerings.
To Excel As The Commercial Manager, You Will Need
- A professional qualification (MRICS, CIPS, APM, CEng) or a willingness to pursue one.
- Demonstrable commercial and contract management experience (pre and post-contract).
- Experience in a variety of construction-based contract environments, ideally in NEC-based contract environments, using a range of reimbursement models.
- Evidence of project delivery to meet business affordability targets.
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders/suppliers.
