Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Lead Solution Designer Service & COE based in Watford who will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of comprehensive solutions that address business needs and drives business growth supporting the Service function of Ricoh. This role requires a deep understanding of technology, business processes, and industry best practices.

We are ideally looking for someone who has a proven background in a similar role, plus Service Now experience, as part of an end to end solution.

What you will be doing

Partnering With Key Stakeholders From The Service Business And BRM & Solution Design Managers Within EMEA IT, Leading Key Programmes Across The End To End Solutions And Process Improvement Activity, Such As

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions within the Service COE including oversight of the end to end design for all of our applications. Working closely with all of the BRM & Solution Design teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements that influence our existing solutions and translate them into functional solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships across different departments to promote the value of the Service CoE solutions and drive connected planning.
  • Provide functional guidance to all project teams, ensuring the successful delivery of solutions across the E2E and CoE.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Head of BRM & Solution Design, senior stakeholders, and partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of existing solutions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Amending existing processes to bring increased efficiency and supporting deployment of changes
  • Preparation of business cases where investment is required and the calculation and monitoring of targeted benefits
  • Managing the solutions design, working with Solution Architects on the selection of systems providers, testing and technical implementation.
  • Ensure the deliverables of the Service COE are aligned to the overall strategic design.

You will ideally have

  • Ideally candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification
  • Preferably you will have a background in a similar role, including Service Now experience as part of an end to end solution.
  • Successful candidates will preferably have proven knowledge of methodologies like Lean Six Sigma or Agile to drive process improvements. Plus an understanding of how to align the CoE’s and E2E solution goals with the overall business strategy
  • Preferred candidates will have a knowledge of change management principals to effectively lead solution transformation. Alongside an understanding of governance structures and compliance requirements to ensure the CoE operates within legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Good understanding of the end-to-end business process is highly valuable
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing projects is crucial. This includes setting strategic direction, managing resources, and ensuring successful project delivery
  • Experience working across different departments and building relationships to drive initiatives forward is preferred.
  • Ideally candidates will have a strong technical background can be beneficial, especially in understanding and implementing complex solutions
  • Experience in leading organisational change and transformation projects, including resetting processes and reconnecting business units would be a real advantage. Plus the ability to measure and analyse performance metrics to ensure that objectives are met and business benefits are realised.
  • Successful candidates will have strong communication skills to effectively convey milestones, lessons learned, and strategic direction to various stakeholder.
