An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Lead to join an electrical and engineering manufacturing business based in Otley, on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. The Role

We're seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Lead to manage and support a variety of HR functions. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, hands-on approach to delivering effective HR solutions in line with business strategy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys working closely with both leadership and employees.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, from job postings to interview coordination.


  • Manage onboarding and induction to ensure a smooth and professional new starter experience.


  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.


  • Be a point of contact for employees, addressing HR queries and supporting engagement.


  • Partner with management to deliver HR strategies that align with business objectives.


  • Support with employee relations matters as needed.



About You


  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.


  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) required.


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.


  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.


  • Confident in resolving issues with a proactive and pragmatic approach.
