NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and is fixed term for 2 years.

This purpose of this role is to lead the testing team within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The team brings together various previously separate functions to provide an expert focus on applications testing covering in-house developments and 3rd party systems. The Team Lead will manage the day-to-day workload of testing staff and involved third parties; will undertake systems analysis and development of testing approaches; will undertake a range of testing; and will work with a variety of project and support teams.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of Agile practices and methodologies, especially in relation to testing. Knowledge and experience of Azure Devops would be useful too.

You should possess both theoretical and practical experience of functional and non-functional testing gained through achieving a relevant diploma or degree and/or previous practical workplace experience. You should hold professional qualifications or equivalent certified training in at least two areas of testing and have at least three years practical experience in the testing of IT systems.

Interviews are expected to be conducted within a fortnight of the closing date.
