Our prestigious Top 60 law firm is seeking a Temporary HR and Onboarding Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Worcester. This role is essential for ensuring a seamless and supportive onboarding experience for all new employees across the firm, from support staff to legal professionals. You will also play a key part in coordinating training initiatives and supporting the continued professional development of our people.

As a firm that prioritises the growth and success of its people, we’re looking for someone who can liaise effectively across departments, manage multiple tasks, and ensure that every new employee feels welcomed, supported, and well-prepared for their role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Induction & Onboarding:
    • Coordinate and send out welcome packs to all new starters across the firm, including Pension letters, to their home addresses.
    • Create and manage induction schedules, diarising mandatory training sessions and sending schedules to line managers.
    • Ensure IT kit is set up and ready before the first day for all new employees.
    • Conduct Welcome Calls on Day 1 for all new employees to ensure smooth onboarding.
    • Facilitate Graduation Calls at the end of the first week to check in and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
    • Manage 3-month check-ins for new employees, ensuring their integration and satisfaction within the firm.
  • HR Administration:
  • Support administration of HR processes including contracts, leaver documentation and changes to terms and conditions of employment.
  • Maintain the HRIS - iTrent, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Regularly update employee records, including new hires, terminations and changes to employee status.

  • Compliance & Administration:
    • Ensure that qualifying admin tasks are completed for new employees, including DBS checks, uploading relevant certifications (e.g., PSC/SQE), and maintaining up-to-date diaries and records.
    • Assist the Early Careers team with the vacation scheme recruitment process, from sifting applications to conducting telephone interviews and organising schedules.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination:
    • Serve as a key liaison across multiple departments, ensuring smooth communication between HR, IT, training, and other key teams to deliver an excellent onboarding experience.
    • Work collaboratively with HR and department heads to ensure new employees receive all necessary training and resources.
  • Supplies & Logistics:
    • Re-order office and welcome pack supplies when necessary, ensuring the team is well-stocked and organised.

About You

About You:

  • Quick Learner: You’ll need to get up to speed quickly with our HR systems, learning management systems (LMS), and firm-wide processes.
  • Confident Communicator: You’re comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels and across departments.
  • Proactive & Organised: You have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passionate About People: You’re committed to delivering the best onboarding experience and supporting the ongoing development of all employees.
  • HR & Admin Experience: Previous experience in HR administration, onboarding, and training coordination is highly desirable.
