Location: Hybrid – with weekly travel to offices (Hemel Hempstead, Northampton & Wolverhampton)

Job Length: 9 -12 Month FTC – Full Time

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

About the role:

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can support statutory reporting, audit, and forecasting while helping shape efficient, future-ready finance processes. You’ll be part of a collaborative team with the chance to work across functions and contribute to the success of some of the UK’s most loved drinks brands.

If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will play a key part of our succuss journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support with completing interim and year end audits for Carlsberg Britvic reporting and local statutory audit.
  • Assist in preparation of UK statutory accounts.
  • Support with annual balance sheet and cashflow forecasts/estimates.
  • Prepare monthly reporting in HFM for selected group companies.
  • Prepare journal entries and support with month end closing process.
  • Support the delivery of internal audit and controls engagements.
  • Defined Benefit Pension scheme: prepare monthly journal entries and HFM reporting.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline.
  • Support ad hoc engagements within the Financial Controlling team and liaise with wider business.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Part or fully qualified accountant
  • Good understanding of IFRS and FRS 102
  • A self-starter able to work under own initiative
  • Able to manage and prioritise competing deadlines
  • Desire to drive change and improve the ways of doing things
  • Ability to build good relationships, influence, and communicate across the business
  • Prior experience with SAP or HFM
