Role Purpose

In this role, you will be responsible for installing and supporting customer equipment on-site, conducting testing, and ensuring successful project deliveries. You will also collaborate with account management and sales teams to scope potential projects, provide quotes, and conduct site health checks. This role requires a strong technical background, the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues, and the flexibility to support large multi-day events, including festivals. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to customer sites are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Site Installation and Support: Install and configure customer equipment on-site, providing comprehensive support and ensuring proper functionality
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform on-site testing to verify equipment performance and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.
  • Project Scoping: Assist in scoping potential projects and installations, working with account management to identify opportunities for new work.
  • Survey Reports and Quotes: Create detailed survey reports and collaborate with account management to provide accurate quotes for potential projects.
  • Site Health Checks: Conduct site health checks to ensure the ongoing performance and stability of customer equipment.
  • On-Site Requirement: Frequent travel to customer sites is required to complete installations, support, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Event Support: Provide technical support for large, multi-day events, including festivals, ensuring all equipment functions smoothly throughout the event.
  • POC for New and Existing Clients: Work closely with the sales team to perform Proof of Concepts (POC) for both new and existing clients, demonstrating the effectiveness of our solutions.
  • Issue Investigation: Investigate and troubleshoot on-site technical issues, providing prompt resolution to ensure minimal disruption to client operations.

Experience

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in a technical consultant or similar technical support role
  • Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting customer equipment on-site
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working in an ITIL environment.
  • Previous experience of working with Enterprise Customers.
  • Experience working with PoS systems
  • Experience working with Databases

Education/Qualifications

  • A Level 3 Qualification in IT (A-Level / BTEC or equivalent)
  • ITIL Foundation (Desirable)

Skills/Capability

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical and customer focused approach
  • Ability to work pro-actively and to tight deadlines
  • Working within and achieving in a performance driven environment
  • An excellent understanding of the ITSM system to be able to ensure the quality of the cases is to the desired standard.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills working in and contributing to small and large teams.
  • Hold a valid Driving Licence
