YOUR ROLE
Our Transport Centre of Excellence, who provide specialist services and insights to our wider Ground & Rail team, have an exciting and unique opportunity for a Fleet Maintenance & Compliance Manager where you will oversee the management of CEVA’s HGVs ensuring all equipment is maintained, cost efficient, suitable and follows the organisations compliance and government regulation standards.
This pivotal role will see you engaging with a wider range of stakeholders across the UKI network, where you will drive sustainability, compliance and safety targets to meet CEVA standards and client expectations.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Head of Fleet Performance you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a diverse fleet of HGV vehicles, trailers and equipment (circa 2000 assets) where you will optimize performance, safety standards, audit protocols, and efficiencies to meet operational demand. You will collaborate with transport operations ensuring sites are adhering to transport compliance and regulatory standards and coordinate relevant skills and knowledge training where required.
You will develop strong working relationships with equipment suppliers, maintenance providers and additional vendors where you will manage cost for service and maintenance, ensuring cost efficient solutions without compromising on safety or quality. You will also drive sustainability initiatives and discussions, in collaboration with the Head of Fleet Performance you will develop and implement strategies that enhance fleet operations and reduce environmental impact.
You will also be practiced in fleet analysis, utilising data to monitor performance, identify trends, and suggest and implement improvements.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application, you will have proven fleet management and compliance experience with the ability to demonstrate success in managing a large fleet of HGV vehicles, preferably managing multiple assets. You will have in-depth knowledge and understanding in regulatory requirements, safety practices and industry standards related to fleet and transportation operations.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of building and developing exceptional internal and external relationships and possess strong communication, problem solving, decision making and presentational skills, with the ability to delve into the detail and challenge the status quo when required.
It would be desirable, however not essential if you have a background in HGV maintenance or inspections, hold a CPC license or a fleet management certification.
