As the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving success through promoting safe and environmental good practice and you will be covering all our Depots across the UK. Not only will you ensure outstanding customer service, you will also contribute to our company's key result areas, driving business performance, customer focus, teamwork and leadership.To ensure compliance with the Company’s SQE Business Management System & Processes.

Responisbilities
- To promote effective and safe practices and controls throughout the engineering workshop and yard operations at all Liebherr GB sites.
- Work to ensure continual improvements with management systems and processes and promote good practice.
- Developing and implementing new safety processes and monitoring their effectiveness.
- Carry out accident investigations as required by current arrangements.
- Ensure work equipment assets are compliant and fit for purpose and use.
- Provide guidance on hazard identification and ensure risk assessments are completed and effective as required.
- Manage the control of contractors on site – ensuring RAMS and PTW are reviewed and completed by the relevant departments.
- To be a paragon for all environmental good practice and support the business to achieve its environmental objectives.
- Carry out company inductions and safety training as required.
- Control and advise safety and environmental champions/safety committees.
- Assist in waste management control.
- Ensure all essential safety training is completed, recorded, monitored and reviewed for all employees in line with current Competence Management Arrangements
- Conduct safety & environmental site audits and develop subsequent improvement plans.
- Prepare accident & incident statistics for Management & Board reports.
- Any other duty as required by management commensurate with the post.
Competencies
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- IEMA Foundation Certificate - Desirable
- Safety audit qualification - Desirable
- Experience in developing and reviewing RAMS for safety critical activities.
- in-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk management.
- Implementing safety systems, conducting inspections, and investigating incidents.
- Good environmental awareness
- Experienced in Competence Management.
