The Role
To participate fully in the routine work of the Telephone department.
To answer correct and transfer all incoming and outgoing calls over the main telephone system.
To be fully conversant with compiling Hospital on- call personnel duty rosters.
To initiate and record all emergency and alert procedures.

This role will be based in Switchboard department within University Hospital Wishaw.
The working pattern for this role: Flexi position including night shift, day shift, back shift and weekend shifts

- Training and or qualifications required: Numerate, literate, communication and practical skills.
- Computer skills.
- Telecommunications systems knowledge
- Health and Safety
- Fire Safety
- Major incident knowledge.
- Good communication skills.
It would be great if you also have
- Educated to standard grade level or experience in similar role
- Computer training qualifications/ courses
- Experience in similar post
- Good listening skills
- Well developed in interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise workload
