Hygiene Assistant Days (10:00 - 18:00)

40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, to include weekends on a rota basis

Must be able to work primarily in a freezer - thermal clothing will be provided!

£12.84 per hour

Additional £1.12 per hour whilst working in the Freezer

As a Hygiene Assistant in Bedford (MK41 7BJ), you will play a role is the efficient cleaning of specified areas of work within the department. We are seeking motivated, friendly, hard-working individuals who thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Key knowledge & behaviours:

• Assist in carrying out all cleaning operations within the Department in accordance with cleaning schedules.
• The control of all cleaning materials (e.g., equipment, chemicals etc.) within the department
• Ensuring that all approved methods and systems with regard to food handling/hygiene are adhered to within the department, in order to prevent contamination/spoilage of product.
• Maintaining the highest level of general cleanliness in accordance with departmental cleaning schedules
• Ensuring that all equipment, fixtures, and fittings are maintained in good working order and are used in the approved manner.
• Ensuring that all areas of work are kept clean and tidy
• Repackaging stock utilising shrink wrap or small machinery
• Adherence to company policy, systems, and procedures with reference to safety, food hygiene, personal hygiene and security.
• Any other duties as requested by line management

• Demonstrative enthusiasm to learn new experiences and be supportive of and part of a hard working team

Essential

• Numerate and literate
• Warehousing and distribution experience
• Ability to work efficiently in both a chilled and freezer environment
