Do you offer:
- BSc Food Science/Technology or related degree, Intermediate Food Hygiene, HNC Food Science/Technology, BTEC Food Science
- 3+ years development experience. 2-5 years experience gained from within a technical discipline.
- Able to manage their own projects independently
- Innovative and Creative
- Flexible to all aspects of development
- Time Management and Problem solving skills
- Coaching and Training skills;
- Passionate about development
- A real “Foodie”
- Some previous supervisory or management skills would be valuable
- To deliver new and existing product development for the related product area.
- Lead pilot plant trials and factory trials with operations, process and site technical teams at relevant sites
- Liaise with all site functions to progress projects.
- Progress all aspects of document control and process relating to project.
- Project team member representing development.
- To work with marketing and the consumers to develop ideas and shape projects.
- Monitor current trends and consumer food behaviors.
- To work with the Sensory and Marketing teams to set benchmarks.
- Understand the ingredients relating to specific products and work with suppliers.
- Maintain contact with internal and external organization to ensure issues are assessed and acted upon accordingly.
- Link to the technical support function at all sites of manufacture (internal and co-manufacture) to ensure efficient delivery of all programs.
- Deputise for NPD/Development Manager as appropriate.
- Manage the day to day work of assigned technicians/technologists and input into their skill development and appraisal (as appropriate for Senior Technologist). Support the training of specific skills to other members ofthe team as required.
