About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our regional distribution center (RDC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of products within our internal network and to end consumers. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to industry regulations, and ensuring timely deliveries to meet customer needs.

This role requires a proficient knowledge of inventory management and controls within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring all tasks are performed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead and manage teams within a multi-product compliant environment.
  • Manage the compliant receipt, storage, pick, pack and distribution of products within our internal network and to end consumers.
  • Coordinate the flow of goods from inbound to storage and from storage to dispatch, ensuring minimal delays and errors.
  • Ensure that warehouse space is utilized efficiently, optimizing storage and product availability.
  • Consistently ensure all warehouse operations comply with standard operating procedures including Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) where necessary.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and provide training to warehouse staff on effective safety protocols.
  • Oversee inventory management, including regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate records.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring proper documentation and reporting in collaboration with Procurement, Finance and Quality.
  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse operatives providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive work environment that emphasises teamwork, efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Schedule staff shifts and manage workforce allocation based on operational needs.
  • Continuously assess and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction (internal and external)
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse performance & productivity, inventory management, order fulfilment rates and any operational challenges.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
  • Proven experience in managing inventory systems, ERP software, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of team development. Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Forklift certification and experience is a plus.
