As our next Brand Finance Controller, you will partner with the Sweet Treats Brand Director to provide insight and value-added analysis to help lead and support decision making across the branded Sweet Treats business unit. Considered a leader within the Brand Finance team, you will support the development of members of the wider team, sharing best practice and implementing systems to ensure consistency in approach.
You will be a key part of the Sweet Treats Category Business Team (CBT) that is responsible for performance at Turnover and Gross Profit. You will be responsible for interrogating branded performance to enable robust and value-adding decision making, taking both a short and long-term view of performance drivers. You will lead and oversee the execution of key Brand Finance processes including long-term Strategic Planning, UK Branded Budget and NPD Reporting. You will also have a key part in IT automation projects improving the efficiency of the function.

What we need from you:
- Fully qualified accountant, CIMA/ACCA/ACA/ACMA
- Deep commercial finance experience from an FMCG or fast paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to challenge and influence
- Lead financial performance management for the Sweet Treats category, acting as the primary finance business partner.
- Deliver high-quality financial insight and analysis to the marketing team, influencing key decisions to drive profitable growth.
- Manage and develop direct reports, while also mentoring junior Brand Finance team members to build overall team capability
- Support core commercial processes including monthly performance reviews, innovation pipelines, forecasting/budgeting, strategic planning, and profit improvement initiatives.
- Partner with brand, commercial planning & execution (CP&E), and sales teams to evaluate innovation proposals and ensure accurate costings.
- Contribute to strategic business initiatives through financial modelling, scenario planning, and business case development.
- Have a key role in the Brand Finance transformation agenda, including AI-led automation projects focused on simplification and value creation.
- Provide financial governance and decision support on brand-led commercial projects, offering recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team.
- Lead the annual budget and long-term strategic planning processes for the Branded business, coordinating across commercial and supply chain teams.
