The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Fuel Handling Systems Engineer to complete a range of hands-on responsibilities to support the TeesREP site in ensuring safety and availability of all Fuel Handling Systems. You'll be providing professional Fuel Handling System engineering support to the TeesREP site ensuring asset integrity and reliability is maintained in a manner consistent with delivering customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and optimise biomass fuel handling systems including conveyors, feeders, and storage facilities.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of biomass fuel handling equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of equipment failures and performance issues.
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to develop and implement equipment improvement projects.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation related to biomass fuel handling systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies; especially ATEX/DSEAR for dust and wood handling and storage.
- Provide technical support, training and guidance to maintenance and operations teams.
- Minimum of HNC or equivalent in a Mechanical engineering discipline.
- Strong experience in solids handling engineering.
- Strong knowledge of solids handling system design principles, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR and the implementation of the regulations.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to solids handling systems.
