Senior Electrical Design Engineer

NES Fircroft are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a client of ours who are a global oilfield services company to join their wireline and wellhead equipment department - based in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. This role requires a strong understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects of engineering, with a focus on innovation, detail, and collaboration. You will be a key contributor to our commitment to continual improvement, driving efficiency and performance in line with our clients business strategy. This is a 2 year Contract.

Location - Inverurie, Aberdeen

Travel - UK & International (large-scale projects)

Contract - 2 Year fixed term contract

Key Responsibilities

• Innovate, design, and develop customised, customer-centric electrical solutions using advanced CAE tools.
• Lead and execute design projects, including cost estimates, validation, and compliance documentation, ensuring delivery within budget and to client specifications.
• Provide expert technical support across departments and regions, including on-site installation, testing, and client meetings globally.
  
  

This role would suit you if you have the following:

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• Strong experience in electrical design (Oil & Gas)
• Proficiency in CAE ( FEA, CFD etc. ) tools & engineering documentation
• Experience with hydraulic / pneumatic / electromechanical systems
