Location: Omagh

Hours: 39 Hour Week. Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 3:45pm, Friday 7:00am – 1:00pm

As a Quality Inspector at Terex, based in Omagh, you'll play a pivotal role in helping produce equipment that helps improve the lives of people around the world.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the PDI Supervisor the Inspector will be involved in a wide range of activities in relation to the inspection of mobile crushing machines to meet on-time deliveries in the most effective manner.

Duties include:

  • Actively addressing and raising quality concerns on a day-to-day basis
  • Final run and test of machines
  • Verification of machine settings and functionality with production team
  • Routine inspection of internally fabricated parts and sub assembly units before moving to main build
  • Inspection of final machine for dispatch in condition to meet customer needs.
  • PDI reports, meetings, and other associated paperwork
  • Control and issue of serial plates and manuals for final machine.
  • Responsibility to escalate any on-going issues.
  • Dispatch record data uploaded to pulse – engine, serial number, DR’s etc.
  • Supporting in quality investigations as required
  • Internal auditing
  • Showing dealers and suppliers around machines when required
  • Adhering to strict quality targets
  • Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
  • To maintain compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations


What you’ll bring:

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a quality/inspector role.
  • Electrical experience
  • Hydraulic experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Good awareness of health and safety
  • Ability to create clear handwritten reports
  • Knowledge of Terex machines
  • Experience in continuous improvement.
