Job Information
As the new Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring all products meet the companies quality standards and industry regulations. You will report directly to the site manager who will support and develop you on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular inspections on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products through visual checks, dimensional analysis, and performance testing.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of inspections and quality metrics, supporting audits and ongoing improvement.
- Identify defects or non-conformities, conduct investigations, and collaborate with production and engineering to resolve issues.
- Work closely with teams across production, engineering, and R&D to ensure continuous quality enhancement.
- Help develop and update quality control procedures in line with evolving standards and best practices.
- Use quality tools (such as 5 Whys, Pareto charts, and fishbone diagrams) to investigate and address recurring quality issues.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO and other relevant certifications.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain quality testing equipment for accurate and reliable results.
- Support training efforts for production teams and champion a culture of quality throughout the organization.
The candidates requirements:
We're seeking candidates with some experience in a quality inspection, engineer, or assurance role, ideally within a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with manufactured products would be an advantage. The ideal person will be highly detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills and an understanding of quality tools and ISO standards. This role will be located in Worksop, North Nottinghamshire and is commutable from Alfreton, Chesterfield, Retford, Nottingham or Mansfield.
Salary and Benefits:
In return, you'll receive a competitive base salary between £28,000 and £35,000, along with a performance-based bonus scheme.
