Hours: 37
Salary: £42,742pa and our travel expenses is paid 45p per mile

What you'll be doing:
As an Area Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in ensuring that high-quality, person-centred services are delivered to people with learning disabilities and other support needs. You’ll oversee a portfolio of services and support managers to promote independence, well-being, and inclusion for the individuals we support. This includes ensuring strong safeguarding practices, positive risk management, and continuous quality improvement across your area.
You’ll be responsible for providing clear direction and supervision to your team of Service Managers and Area Administrators, ensuring policies, procedures, and compliance standards are upheld. A typical day could involve coaching your managers, supporting recruitment, handling budget oversight, or developing relationships with external stakeholders such as social services, health professionals, or families. The ability to drive is essential for this role, as you'll need to travel between services and attend meetings across the region.
You’ll be at the heart of both operational delivery and service development — managing budgets, monitoring outcomes, and actively identifying opportunities for service growth and improvement. This role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment and wants to make a real difference through values-driven leadership.
Above all else your focus will be on achieving the highest levels of support and independence for the people we support to make everyday remarkable.

Who we're looking for:
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- A QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to work towards it
- At least 2 years’ experience supporting people with learning disabilities or other support needs
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a health or social care setting
- The ability to lead and motivate teams to deliver outstanding person-centred care
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with a range of stakeholders
- Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
