Position Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Strategy & Insights team, with a specialised focus on economics and commercial forecasting. This role is critical in helping us anticipate market trends, evaluate campaign and content performance, and inform commercial strategy through evidence-based forecasting. You’ll play a vital role in bridging data-driven insight with economic modelling to support business growth, client success, and strategic innovation.

AKA is a fluid organisation and advertising is a fast moving and rapidly changing business; as such you may be required to undertake duties which are in line with the general purpose of this job description, but which are not specifically referred to. Some out of hours working (evenings and weekends) are occasionally required to ensure that time-sensitive social activity is delivered when required. This includes but is not limited to theatrical press nights, gallery openings, client and industry events etc.

Position Overview

You’ll play a vital role in bridging data-driven insight with economic modelling to support business growth, client success, and strategic innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply forecasting models to estimate market demand, campaign performance, and ROI across entertainment and cultural products
- Conduct economic and commercial analysis to support pricing, distribution, audience targeting, and investment decisions
- Use econometric techniques to understand audience behaviour, revenue drivers, and business performance trends
- Collaborate with strategists, creatives, and data analysts to provide commercial insight across campaigns and projects
- Translate complex data sets and models into clear, actionable strategies for both internal and client-facing outputs
- Stay current on entertainment market dynamics, economic modelling approaches, and forecasting tools
- Contribute to the creation of client reports, pitch decks, and internal innovation initiatives
- Degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Finance, or a related analytical discipline
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, forecasting, or commercial strategy—ideally in media, entertainment, or consultancy
- Strong background in econometric modelling and predictive analytics
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, R, Python, or SQL and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience in bringing together multi-disciplined data teams to combine data informed narratives
- Excellent quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Experience communicating complex economic concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- A keen interest in entertainment, culture, and understanding audience behaviour
- Experience working in or with entertainment/media companies
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and digital product development
- Experience with consumer neuroscience or biometric research
