Master Flo Valve Co. (UK) Ltd. is currently seeking an Accountant to work with our team in Aberdeen, Scotland. The Accountant is responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting which requires continuous interaction and liaison with internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent assists the Controller and the Operations Manager in the administration and maintenance of all financial systems and records including the effective communication of financial results to Senior Management of the company.

Key Position Functions

  • Responsible for customer invoicing, collections, and accounts payable payment functions.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and supporting year end working papers.
  • Responsible for banking activities including deposits, disbursements and reconciliations.
  • Ensure proper expense coding and allocations.
  • Liaise with related entities and process intercompany transactions.
  • Participate in audit engagements including interaction with external auditors and preparation of documents.
  • File monthly VAT reports.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of annual audit.
  • Assist in cost accounting and inventory management processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

  • Recognized professional accounting education.
  • Experience in performing account reconciliations and variance analyses.
  • Familiarity with generating and analyzing financial statements.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP system would be an asset.
