We are seeking to recruit a pool of nurses who will work as part of the Hospice Out of Hours Nursing Team. They will be responsible for providing a nursing service to patients who have a cancer diagnosis and are at end-of-life, as well as offering support for their families. Shifts will be allocated based on availability.

- Have excellent standards of nursing care.
- Be able to work on their own initiative.
- Demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills.

- Be registered on part 1 of the NMC register.
- Have at least two years’ post-registration experience.
- Live within 50 minutes travelling time (measured by Google Maps) of any address within the catchment area.
- Meet the additional criteria outlined in the full Job Description.
- Standard on-call payment: £100 per shift
- Initial call out: Additional £60 payment
- Any further call outs: Additional £20 per call out
- Premiums: Payable on the £100 standard on-call element for Saturdays, Sundays, and SAHS-recognised bank holidays (as per Inpatient Unit guidelines)
- Shift cancelled due to no patients: £40 (4 hours' pay) if cancelled after 8pm
- Mileage: Claimable in line with the Expenses Policy at the HMRC rate (currently 45p per mile) for all travel to and from patients’ homes
