The Health and Safety Apprentice Technician will be based full time in our Ilkeston office and, will complete an apprenticeship in Health & Safety as part of the role.
What will you be doing?
As a Health and Safety Apprentice Technician for BES Infrastructure, you will be responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety (H&S) administration, providing support to the Operations and Planning Teams to meet H&S requirements.

What will you be doing?
As a Health and Safety Apprentice Technician for BES Infrastructure, you will be responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety (H&S) administration, providing support to the Operations and Planning Teams to meet H&S requirements.
Responsibilities
You will carry out general administration of H&S related databases and systems, create and update risk assessment, PPE & equipment records, some of your other responsibilities will include:
- General office administration duties
- Fire warden and first aid duties
- Periodic depot and site safety visits and inspections
- Contributing towards the creation of monthly Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Reports detailing our waste, energy consumption and transportation usage in order to reduce our environmental impact.
- Development of HSQE presentations using information from HSQE statistics
- Promote safe working practices at all times and actively participate in safety initiatives providing support to others as required
- Starting salary from £20,000 depending on experience

- To be tech savvy and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, in particular using Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management skills
- To be flexible and agile, able to adjust to changing priorities
- Confidence to work on your own (once training has been provided, of course!)
- Capable of working to tight deadlines
