Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Test Engineer to join our Service and Commissioning team. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and reliability of both our in-house manufactured equipment and third-party systems. As a key part of our workshop operations, you will perform detailed testing, fault-finding, and repairs, supporting the end-to-end process of commissioning, inspection, and customer service. You will also play a custodial role in managing customer assets on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fault-finding and diagnostic testing on a wide range of plant and equipment in our workshop.
  • Assist with the testing and commissioning of equipment prior to site deployment.
  • Inspect sub-assemblies and carry out repairs to ensure functional integrity.
  • Support operator training in equipment usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform both process and functional testing on new and existing systems.
  • Carry out water analysis using laboratory equipment.
  • Respond to technical and operational inquiries from internal teams and customers.
  • Support the build and assembly of new water treatment systems.
  • Prepare comprehensive Test Certificates and detailed inspection reports.
  • Oversee the storage and management of customer assets held in our facilities.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe testing environment.
  • Promote and uphold the company’s core values and culture in all activities.
  • Carry out additional reasonable duties as required to meet company needs.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to testing and repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to manage time effectively and work independently or within a team.
  • Customer-focused with a professional attitude and service-oriented mindset.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical systems, fitting, maintenance, and test procedures.
  • Experience in managing technical stores and asset handling.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical, process, and electrical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with producing technical documentation and reporting on testing outcomes.
