We are looking for a confident Intellectual Property Solicitor to join our specialist legal team in London on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with 2–5 years PQE to take on a key role within a high-performing team that values collaboration, initiative and excellence.
You’ll be working across a diverse range of contentious and non-contentious IP matters, supporting a varied client base that includes innovative startups, established brands and creative professionals. The role offers genuine responsibility and autonomy, with the support of experienced colleagues who are passionate about IP law.

What We Offer
You’ll be working across a diverse range of contentious and non-contentious IP matters, supporting a varied client base that includes innovative startups, established brands and creative professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on a wide range of IP issues including trade marks, copyright, patents, design rights and trade secrets.
- Drafting and negotiating IP-related agreements such as licences, assignments, NDAs and collaboration agreements.
- Handling contentious IP matters covering the full spectrum of rights.
- Providing strategic IP guidance to early-stage businesses and undertaking IP DD reviews for investors.
- Supporting and collaborating with attorney colleagues.
- Engaging in BD and marketing activities.
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 2–5 years PQE, with a focus on IP law.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK IP law.
- Experience in both contentious and non-contentious IP matters.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
- A proactive and client-focused approach.
- Experience working in a top-tier IP team or boutique IP firm.
- Exposure to international IP matters.
- Familiarity with IP issues in the tech, media or life sciences sectors.
