You will play a pivotal part in establishing benefits programmes and supporting technology for a new European office, while also contributing to broader regional HR initiatives. The position offers the chance to work closely with cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with local regulations. With a competitive daily rate of £458 and the flexibility of a hybrid working model, this is an outstanding opportunity to make your mark in a supportive and values-driven workplace.

  • Play a central role in designing and implementing benefits infrastructure for a new European office, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.

  • Benefit from being part of an organisation that places inclusion, fairness, and client-focused values at the heart of everything they do, empowering you to contribute meaningfully to shared goals.

What you'll do:

As an HR Projects Consultant based in Manchester City Centre, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of the organisation's European operations. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing robust project plans that foster effective collaboration among key stakeholders such as HR Business Partners, Global Reward teams, IT specialists, Finance professionals, and business leaders. You will be responsible for creating clear communication materials that distil complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership across various regions. A significant aspect of your role will be leading process automation efforts-identifying areas where manual tasks can be streamlined through advanced HR systems. You will also act as the primary point of contact for vendor management throughout their entire lifecycle-from initial selection through ongoing relationship management-ensuring all third-party engagements meet compliance standards. In addition to these core duties, you will support broader regional HR projects by owning their delivery from inception to completion.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that clearly define roles, responsibilities, and timelines while ensuring continuous stakeholder engagement and collaboration across HRBPs, Global Reward, IT, Finance, and business leaders.
  • Create presentations, communication materials, and documentation that translate complex data analyses into clear solution pathways for decision-making by senior leaders across multiple regions.
  • Lead process automation initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce manual activities through the implementation of HR systems, tools, and templates.
  • Support ongoing collaboration between the HR team and Technology partners by providing detailed requirements for Workday system developments tailored to HR needs.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of vendor management including selection, onboarding, due diligence, risk assessments, contract negotiation and execution, as well as ongoing relationship management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in third-party engagements by ensuring compliance and alignment with organisational standards throughout all vendor interactions.
  • Contribute to broader regional HR projects by taking ownership of delivery from requirements gathering through scope definition to successful implementation.
  • Ensure all compensation and benefits programmes are compliant with local regulations while supporting wider compensation initiatives across Europe.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget constraints.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in compensation & benefits as well as HR technology trends relevant to multinational environments.

Your interpersonal strengths must include exceptional stakeholder engagement capabilities-balancing priorities across independent teams-and polished communication skills suited for both virtual and face-to-face interactions with senior leadership. Familiarity with modern HR systems such as Benifex or Workday will enable you to drive process improvements efficiently.

  • Demonstrated experience in Compensation & Benefits within a multinational or European context is essential for success in this role.

  • Experience supporting office launches or expansions would be advantageous when navigating new market entry challenges.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills are needed to balance competing demands across multiple teams independently.
  • Excellent communication abilities are vital for translating technical information into accessible updates for senior leaders both virtually and in person.
  • Familiarity with leading HR systems such as Benifex, Darwin, Workday, MarketPay or Payfactors is preferred.
