The Opportunity


We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to support our busy Exploration & Production (E&P) team in Aberdeen. This is a hands-on laboratory position with added responsibility for supporting team leaders in managing daily operations and maintaining service quality. You’ll work across a range of analytical tasks while guiding and developing junior staff, driving performance, and supporting our QHSE and commercial targets.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and support the daily workload of the analytical team in line with client and technical standards.
  • Mentor junior team members and support training on both routine and advanced analytical techniques.
  • Prepare, review, and sign off analytical reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead by example in maintaining QHSE standards and reporting non-conformances.
  • Support equipment maintenance and ensure calibrations remain up to date.
  • Liaise with clients, generate quotations, and manage POs within agreed limits.
  • Drive performance using KPIs such as turnaround times and customer feedback (NPS).
  • Contribute to method development, validation projects, and service line improvements.
  • Actively identify upsell opportunities and pass leads to the Business Development team.
  • Carry out contract order reviews to ensure full understanding of customer requirements.
  • Occasionally support offshore or site work as required.


Who We’re Looking For


  • Degree, HND, or equivalent lab experience with a strong analytical background.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a UKAS-accredited lab.
  • Strong organisational skills and experience managing team workload.
  • Confident communicator with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a technical environment.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office and data systems.
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and proactive in approach.
