We’re looking for a proactive and adaptable Duty Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic Operations Control Centre (OCC). This is a pivotal role that supports the smooth execution of our commercial and core flying programmes. You’ll be at the heart of our operation—coordinating flights, managing charter requests, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities


  • Support the Duty Operations Manager with all aspects of the flying programme within the current operational window.
  • Act as the primary OCC lead for chartered and ACMI operations, including short-notice and out-of-hours enquiries.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless charter execution.
  • Provide operational support and flight planning expertise, including ETOPs for both civil and military operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of Flight Briefing documents to crew.
  • Monitor flights using tracking software, manage ATC communications, and secure airport slots.
  • Assess and respond to operational threats such as weather, industrial action, and airport closures.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners, including customer briefings on disruptions.
  • Log significant events and programme changes.
  • Support the training and development of Operations Controllers, offering coaching and mentoring to new team members.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to operational processes and systems.


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


  • Experience in an Airline Operational Control Room environment.
  • Strong understanding of time-critical and charter operations.
  • Proficiency in OCC systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Competence in flight planning and aircraft performance calculations.
  • Familiarity with emergency and incident response procedures.
  • Excellent communication, numerical, and analytical skills.
  • Formal aviation training (desirable).
  • Solid understanding of Flight Time Limitations.
  • Fluent in English (written, spoken, and reading).
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Confident decision-maker with the ability to act on own initiative.
  • A proactive approach to personal development.
