Job Description
Are you passionate about working with young people? Do you strive to make a difference? We have an exciting opportunity for people to apply for part-time roles as a at our Youth Hubs across East Sussex.
As Youth Workers, we nurture and support the young people we work with so they can learn to make informed choices; we teach empowerment and equality, helping the young people have a voice, build positive relationships, and reach their full potential. You will support the Leader in Charge in the operation and running of the session, engaging young people in the community, offering support, advice, and guidance, as well as handling any safeguarding concerns as a team. We deliver sessions for young people aged 8 to 19 (up to 25 years for young people with SEN). Sessions usually run in the afternoon and evening unless specified otherwise.
Successful applicants will receive a full induction and training to support all aspects of their roles with ongoing support from their manager and colleagues. Starting as a youth worker can pave the way for opportunities within keywork and social work, should the successful applicant seek full-time employment.
