Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of the UK energy market to identify and originate development opportunities (primarily, solar PV, storage, wind and natural gas), as well as prepare the respective investment proposals for internal review and approval.
- Lead or support all planning and development activities including pre-application consultation, planning submissions, appeals and discharge of planning conditions under UK planning law.
- Lead or support all grid connection activity as part of grid reform and in line with CP2030 to best position projects for success.
- Monitor UK and devolved government policies, local development plans and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP) where applicable.
- Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to undertake due diligence on potential acquisition opportunities at early stage, mid stage, advanced and RTB status.
- Plan and control the schedules, income and expenses of the projects, to ensure compliance with the contractual deadline, cost and propose methodologies to be used for this purpose, creating internal work procedures and generating standards that allow tracking the execution of the business case.
- Manage, execute and control the documentation of full plan of each project, in accordance with the process documentation, to ensure the completion of the project in compliance with the technical and contractual specifications.
- Plan and control the allocation of human, technical and financial resources to ensure the timely execution of project activities including project financing with the required technical quality.
- Plan and control the contracting processes for goods and services to ensure compliance with the contracting plan of the projects under development, oriented to reach Construction phase.
- Execute the project communications plan to ensure effective interaction with all entities and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any Engineering or Business-related major.
- Specialization or master's degree in regulation, business management, energy management or related field.
- A self-motivated, proactive, and independent thinker that shows initiative.

- Strong Project Management skills and experience managing development projects at all stages of the development lifecycle
- Experience in negotiating and closing of different collaboration agreements: development service agreements, partner/investment agreements, agreements with engineering or EPC contractors, etc.
- Knowledge of electricity sector regulation and permitting and planning processes for power generation plants in the U.K
- Medium knowledge in solar PV, Wind technical design, and storage (BESS) being able to estimate economical key inputs in the financial model (capex, opex, etc)
- Medium/high knowledge of finance and project profitability analysis
- Strong relationships with industry players and developers in the U.K.
- Experience of at least 5-7 years in the energy or infrastructure industry, ideally in organizations with strong processes, system, and policies.
- Proven experience in the UK developing and building renewable energy projects.Advanced experience in the use of office software (advanced Excel and PowerPoint required).
