Job Overview

We are looking for an inspiring, talented teacher to join our dedicated staff team from this September (we would consider a strong candidate who could only start in January, but our preference is for a September start).

This post is for a Nursery class teacher initially.

Our vision for children is that through excellent teaching and care, children know they are both loveable and capable. We want children to be passionate, resilient and creative learners with good character who achieve well across the curriculum. We would like you to be as passionate about the Early Years as we are. We are a centre of excellence within Lewisham and we are regularly asked to share our innovative practice with other professionals.

The Successful Candidate Will Need To

  • Be an excellent teacher, committed to the highest of expectations for all children and to making learning irresistible.
  • Have an excellent understanding of how our youngest children learn and what effective teaching looks like in the Early Years
  • Be a learner themselves – open to challenge and committed to keeping on top of current thinking in education.
  • Be a committed team member, show initiative and proactively work to improve their practice.
  • Promote the principles of inclusion by enabling every child to overcome barriers to learning in order to achieve highly.
  • Have very high expectations of behaviour and be committed to establishing positive relationships with every child.
