Interim Project Accountant
We’re looking for an experienced and results oriented Project Accountant (Interim) to join our internal finance team on a contract basis for a period of six months. Supporting a group of 13 companies you’ll play a key role in post-acquisition integration of several entities, reconciling balance sheets, improving processes, and streamlining the corporate structure. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative team, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced finance environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
Workwell Outsourcing Divisional Corporate Structure
- Identifying opportunities to rationalise the structure of the Workwell Outsourcing division
- Review entity balance sheets and shareholdings to plan streamlining of the structure.
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support accurate balance sheet positions.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and reconcile high-volume bank transactions.
- Ensure processes maintain accurate posting and allocation of payments.
- Investigate and resolve unreconciled items in collaboration with internal departments.
- Review and reconcile intercompany balances, with a view to elimination of historic amounts.
- Review and streamline billing processes to facilitate combination of operations.
- Document and implement appropriate measures.
- Maintain a service-focused approach with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support data cleansing projects across various entities.
- Assist with reconciling historical financial issues across multiple entities.
- Maintain well-organised and accurate financial records.
- Has a solid background in project accounting.
- Brings experience in streamlining processes and structures.
- Is an advanced user in Excel, including formulas, lookups, SUMIFs, and pivot tables.
- Has excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Communicates confidently and professionally across teams.
- Can manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ideally has experience working across multiple entities or within a group structure.
- Has working knowledge of systems like Power BI, Sage 50, Xero, or Sage Accounting
- Project management experience preferred.
