Early Years and Childcare Senior (Term time only)

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior to lead our Nursery and Preschool room at our setting in Mitcham. This is a term time only position.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate, who must hold at least a Level 3 Childcare qualification and have 3 years or more post qualification experience. The successful candidate will have,

• recent experience of leading a team within a childcare setting
• a sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection
• an ability to plan and deliver an engaging and interesting curriculum to all children.
  
  

Experience of working with and supporting children with SEND and building and maintaining strong relationships with children, parents, colleagues and other professionals is also essential.

The Senior will be part of our management team and in addition to leading the team in the room will deputise for the Manager when required, this includes taking full responsibility for the setting in the absence of the Manager.

This is a permanent term time only position, 35 hours a week, working alternative weekly shifts of either 7.30am to 3.30pm or 10am to 6pm. We offer excellent training opportunities, generous annual leave entitlement and the option of joining the local authority pension scheme.
