This is an exciting opportunity to join Sense within the Arts and Wellbeing team as our Arts and Wellbeing Coordinator. This is a hybrid, 3 year fixed term role, working 37.5 hours per week flexibly between home and our offices in Selly Oak, Birmingham.

The Arts and Wellbeing Coordinator will support the delivery of a new national Art and Wellbeing (AW) programme and help shape the content of the programme through consulting with and coproducing ideas with people we support. They will monitor & coordinate national specialist projects and maintain the best of services in everything we do. The work is highly varied, and ideally, we are seeking a coordinator who have experience working in community practice, including but not limited to, people with complex disabilities. We’re seeking someone creative, ambitious and determined. We want our workforce to be representative of all sections of society and welcome applications from everyone. Responsibilities include:
- Co-ordinate and monitor the day-to-day work of the artists to ensure they work to Sense Arts priorities.
- Lead on identifying and build relationships with relevant community groups and individuals to attend have sustained attendance with the programme
- Coordinate arrangements for a fully accessible arts and wellbeing programme
- To coordinate the delivery of the inclusive arts and wellbeing programme across Sense
- To coordinate the delivery of internal and external public facing events
- Support relevant digital platforms including AW resources and bookings system
- To be main point of contact regarding Arts & Wellbeing project matters and ensure all enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner and allocated to correct team member as necessary.
- To book and manage all access requirements for the programme
- To lead on good relationships with colleagues and sense services in order to communicate effectively
- Help to identify case studies, social media opportunities, and collate images to share impact of project to share across Sense and our audiences
Key skills and experience:
- Willingness to complete training required by the role
- Excellent organisational skills and eye for detail
- Demonstrable project working experience including planning, delivery and evaluation.
- The ability to work on your own initiative
- Experience in keeping accurate and up to date records of all service related activity and to ensure effective day to day administration of a project or service.
- Demonstrable commitment to equal opportunities and diversity.
- Good IT literacy including using Excel, emails, Adobe and
- Experience of providing a customer focused service.
- A demonstrable commitment to enabling an inclusive and diverse workforce to reflect our community.
- A commitment to people with complex communication and Sense’s vision and values; a willingness to learn how to communicate with people with complex communication and identify the barriers to their participation in all aspects of Sense’s work.
