Shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Senior Charge Nurse Assistant based within level 2 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley and this post will cover 2 bed holding areas in receiving Medical Assessment Unit and Acute Medical Unit.

You will provide secretarial and administrative support to the senior charge nurse this allows the senior charge nurse to be visible within the ward area, ensuring a high level of care is provided and safe, effective practice is delivered through visible role modelling.

You will provide a proactive and effective administration and secretarial support thus supporting the effective professional leadership of the ward, ensuring effective communication from and within the ward team. Contributing to the team objectives through delivery of effective administrative and secretarial and support

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job

You will be organised and has excellent communication skills and can demonstrate being able to work well in a team. You will have a good level of knowledge of software packages and good key board skills with proven typing experience. Experience of working in a busy NHS environment and understanding of NHS inter-disciplinary networks would be advantageous. You will have the ability to work unsupervised, using own your own initiative.
