Main Responsibilities
In the role of Estate Manager you will be responsible for a number of tasks including:
- Day to day estate management matters on freehold and leasehold industrial and commercial property
- Negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews with landlords and their agents to achieve the best possible return
- Optimising rental income opportunities generated through Tarmac’s land portfolio
- Budgeting, forecasting and approving property related expenditure including rents and maintenance costs
- Instructing and managing external consultants and agents
To be successful in the role you will have proven knowledge and experience of:
- Industrial and commercial property ownership and occupation in the UK, including landlord and tenant legislation
- Industrial and commercial property market agency in the UK
- Skilled negotiation of rent reviews, lease renewals and general estate management matters
- Strategic and innovative thinking and decision making
- Mineral and renewable energy related property experience is of interest, but not essential
- MRICS qualified
