Quality Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Cheltenham. Reporting to the Quality Engineering Team Lead, this role is central to supporting production and manufacturing teams to ensure that quality performance consistently meets customer expectations. You will be a key advocate for continuous improvement and the voice of the customer within our operations.

Your Objectives And Responsibilities Will Focus On…

• Applying in-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), product requirements, and quality tools.
• Managing internal and field failure reports (NCRs and FFRs) through the Fusion PLM system, including investigations and timely resolutions.
• Identifying and resolving constraints to product and process quality using specialist knowledge.
• Ensuring compliance with ISO9001, PED, ISO14001, and other relevant standards through audits and CAPA follow-ups.
• Leading or participating in continuous improvement projects, using root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Training and advising stakeholders on quality best practices.
• Developing and maintaining quality metrics and producing professional reports.
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and representing the customer’s voice in all quality matters.
  
  

Your Previous Experience Is Likely To Include….

• Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role, ideally within a quality-focused discipline.
• A strong understanding of measuring equipment and systems.
• Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Completion of a qualification in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering
• Completion of an Internal Auditor certification for QMS/EMS
• Working understanding of ISO9001:2015 requirements
