Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Cheltenham. Reporting to the Quality Engineering Team Lead, this role is central to supporting production and manufacturing teams to ensure that quality performance consistently meets customer expectations. You will be a key advocate for continuous improvement and the voice of the customer within our operations.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Quality Engineering Team Lead, this role is central to supporting production and manufacturing teams to ensure that quality performance consistently meets customer expectations. You will be a key advocate for continuous improvement and the voice of the customer within our operations.
Your Objectives And Responsibilities Will Focus On…
- Applying in-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), product requirements, and quality tools.
- Managing internal and field failure reports (NCRs and FFRs) through the Fusion PLM system, including investigations and timely resolutions.
- Identifying and resolving constraints to product and process quality using specialist knowledge.
- Ensuring compliance with ISO9001, PED, ISO14001, and other relevant standards through audits and CAPA follow-ups.
- Leading or participating in continuous improvement projects, using root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Training and advising stakeholders on quality best practices.
- Developing and maintaining quality metrics and producing professional reports.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and representing the customer’s voice in all quality matters.
- Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role, ideally within a quality-focused discipline.
- A strong understanding of measuring equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Completion of a qualification in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering
- Completion of an Internal Auditor certification for QMS/EMS
- Working understanding of ISO9001:2015 requirements
- Demonstrate Company Core Values at all times
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using tools such as Fishbone, PDCA, 8D, 5 Whys, and process mapping.
- Demonstrate decisiveness and the ability to make informed judgments quickly.
- Be self-motivated and take a proactive approach to work.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Possess the ability to influence and build strong networks across teams.
- Demonstrate confidence in training others and engaging with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
