Salary: £33,000 per annum

Hours: Predominantly Monday to Friday (Flexibility Required)

We’re looking for a dynamic and food-driven Relief Chef Manager to help lead culinary excellence across our multi-site operation. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious chef with strong leadership and organisational flair to work across a major contract, delivering high-volume food with quality and consistency.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Relief Chef Manager, you’ll work across multiple sites, ensuring consistent food delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction across all services including:

  • Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Night Shift Feeding, Vending, Hospitality, and Coffee Shops
  • Supporting 200+ team members across 11 bustling locations serving a combined workforce of 10,000+


Key Responsibilities

  • Cook, present, and oversee the delivery of fresh, flavour-packed dishes across units
  • Support operational and culinary delivery to contractual, safety, and financial standards
  • Ensure GP, sales, wastage, and ordering processes are effectively managed
  • Uphold all HSE and food safety standards across all sites
  • Inspire and support kitchen and front-of-house teams through coaching and leadership
  • Collaborate with site managers and clients to deliver memorable food experiences
  • Monitor stock, ordering, labour, and compliance performance across units
  • Lead by example—ensure the correct use of all kitchen equipment and best practices in food prep


Essential

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience in a professional kitchen at supervisor or management level
  • Previous experience in a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or Sous Chef role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills—able to lead by influence across teams
  • A love for quality food and the ability to cook from scratch under pressure
  • Strong understanding of compliance, safety, and HACCP
  • A flexible, team-focused, can-do attitude—willing to travel across multiple sites


Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3
  • Previous multi-site support or mobile chef management experience
