Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a diligent finance professional looking to continue their career within a FTSE listed construction business with a track record of delivering high profile infrastructure projects.
This is a critical role within the P2P function that involves collecting, processing, and presenting accurate financial data.
A broad understanding of the Accounts Payable and expenses processes is a key component of the role.
The role includes exposure to project teams and other central finance functions, providing an excellent opportunity for a varied role with regular challenges. It provides the ability to work with a wide variety of teams from different functional backgrounds and the opportunity for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Complete finance element of new supplier set up ensuring all checks are completed with due diligence.
- Action mailbox items for Purchase/Corporate card and expenses.
- Complete finance processing stage for expenses in Concur.
- Work closely with Accounts Payable and Payments team to ensure accurate vendor records to allow smooth accounts payables processing.
- Assist Supplier Management and Concur Manager with ongoing transformation and continuous improvement projects.
- Identify any training requirement to support your role and personal development.
- Offer support as team cover to continue delivery of team core activities.
- Ad hoc tasks relevant to the role as required by the AP Manager, P2P Manager and/or Head of Finance Shared Services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a P2P function, preferably in a Shared Services environment.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, sites and project accountants and communicating payment insights.
- Working with Oracle Enterprise One, or similar ERP system desirable.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Confidence to challenge current processes and recommend improvements.
- Demonstrable ability to form effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- A passion for excellent customer service is essential.
- Flexibility to take on new challenges as they arise and quick to learn.
- Self-motivated and a self-starter, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- A positive can-do attitude, especially when faced with challenges and time constraints.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and help others to do so.
- Set and achieve high standards for themselves
