Sector: UK Chilled Food Industry
Working Hours: 4on 4off 06:00 – 18:00
Pay: £33 759 per annum
Reporting To: Shift Manager

Your Role
As a Low Risk Area Manager, you’ll be:
- Leading your team to deliver the daily manufacturing plan – on time and to standard
- Driving a zero-accident culture by ensuring Health & Safety policies are championed and followed
- Monitoring live data to optimise performance, reduce waste, and increase machine and labour efficiency
- Managing and supporting supervisors, line leaders and operatives across your area
- Maintaining the highest standards of product quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Taking the lead on daily performance KPIs and reporting with confidence
- Identifying and addressing training needs across your team
- Supporting with audits, disciplinary procedures, attendance, and HR matters
- Being a visible, hands-on leader on the shop floor who thrives on action and accountability
- Proven leadership experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production
- Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs, lean processes, and continuous improvement
- Confidence in managing teams, performance, and H&S compliance
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on leader with a proactive attitude and a focus on quality and efficiency
- A working knowledge of GMP and food safety standards
- The ability to thrive on a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern
