Barrow Operatives are accountable for ensuring that the line is fully stocked, running smoothly and have good communication with the Supervisor. They will work closely with the key operators and Supervisor regarding any issues that they come across to achieve the production plan that ensure customer supply. You will be carrying out tasks that require a hands-on approach and operating electric hand barrows in designated areas. The role will require flexibility and good communication skills. All training will be given The role requires a proactive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude who is committed to maintaining high standards in production whilst working as part of a dynamic team. Will be required to move lines across the factory as and when required What will be your key deliverables?

- Ordering pawns/layaside
- Ordering packaging requests
- Complete stock sheets (assortments only)
- Keep the line stocked up
- Inform your Manager if you have out of date stock
- Use Autostore
- Moving loads into dispatch
- Barcoding
- Waste collection and waste control
- Documenting all date on Shop Floor online
- Supporting line operators in change overs
- Collect and remove all packaging as required
- Work closely with the daily plan to ensure we have enough packaging for each SKU
- Help and support on the line if required (Packing)
- Basic numerical and literacy knowledge
- Manual dexterity
- Good logistic skills
- Quick at reacting
- Good communication skills
- Good problem recognition
- Be diligent and detail conscious
- Excellent team working skills
- Positive attitude
- Be able to multi-task and have the drive and tenacity to work under your own initiative
- Deliver an effective and efficient service to the department
- Previous experience is desirable but not essential, training will be given
- Knowledge of manufacturing environment and of HACCP and safe systems of work
- Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets, waste levels and line performance)
