Location: This role is based in The Quadrant Milton Keynes. This role is a full-time opportunity, flexible working patterns will be considered. For Quadrant:MK, you must live within 75 Minutes.

Band & Salary: Band 5 £27,000 - £31,925

About The Role (External)

About the team...

Join one of the largest land and property owners in the country! Network Rail's Property team plays a vital role in generating sustainable income from a diverse portfolio of non-operational property. This income is reinvested into enhancing our rail infrastructure.

As part of the National Portfolios team, you’ll collaborate with third-party organisations across Telecoms, Energy, and Utility sectors, along with other commercial entities. Your work will involve managing property transactions that support critical infrastructure projects while safeguarding Network Rail’s interests and driving value for the organisation.

Who are we looking for?

Are you a detail-oriented property professional looking to make an impact? We’re seeking someone to help us maximise the income potential of our property portfolio while ensuring properties are well-maintained and risks are minimised.

In this role, you’ll take responsibility for rent reviews, lease renewals, valuations, and tenant queries. You’ll also manage tenant credit control, service charges, and documentation with precision, working closely with solicitors to uphold our landlord obligations.

This role is ideal for a graduate with a property-related degree or someone aspiring to become a Chartered Surveyor.

What does the average day look like? We deliver responsive, customer-focused property services that support clients and the wider portfolio while prioritising sustainability, safety, and financial responsibility. By maintaining strong relationships and sharing knowledge, we drive efficient service delivery and operational excellence.

You’ll support managing a National Portfolio of third-party infrastructure assets, contributing to an annual income of £28 million. Your work will involve managing consents, agreements, rent reviews, new business opportunities, debt management, and other property matters. This role is ideal for someone aspiring to become a Chartered Surveyor.

Essential Criteria

  • Property related degree or relevant qualification
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Positive and proactive team player


Desirable Criteria

  • Training for RICS qualification
  • Proven experience of managing a range of property transactions
  • Understanding of the rail industry and rail legislation
  • Full Driving Licence
