We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Manager to oversee all aspects of compliance, including Food Safety and Health & Safety, across both our factory and retail operations. The role will also supervise the Health & Safety Supervisor to ensure best practices are maintained.
You will work closely with external suppliers, contractors, and consultants to uphold compliance standards and drive improvements. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing committee meetings, ensuring they are held on time, that actions are taken on the points raised, and that meeting minutes are accurately recorded.
Key Responsibilities
The Technical Manager Position is based in Watford Head Office (Sunley House Old's Approach, Northwood, Watford WD18 9TB). The Salary for this role is £38,000 - £45,000, depending on experinece.
This is a full time permanent role (42 hours per week) 5 over 7 days working 9:00-17:30

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage compliance across Food Safety and Health & Safety within factory and retail operations.
- Oversee the Health & Safety Supervisor, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices.
- Liaise with external suppliers, contractors, and consultants to maintain compliance standards.
- Ensure all committee meetings take place as scheduled, with clear follow-up actions and recorded minutes.
- Provide a monthly update to the Operations Director, highlighting key compliance developments.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure policies and procedures remain up to date.
- Collaborate across departments to promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in compliance management within a food manufacturing or retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in managing external relationships with suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
- Food Safety Level 3 or 4
- HACCP Level 3
