We are looking for an experienced Employability Coach to join our Volunteering & Projects Team. The post holder will manage a small caseload of adults attending our Day Service who want to progress in to paid part-time employment, self-employment or individual volunteering placement.
The Volunteering & Projects Team work across all four of Journey's sites which are in Blyth, Hexham, Newcastle and Bishop Auckland, as well as in the community with relevant partnerships.
Journey Enterprises is one the region's leading intellectual disability charities. We support conditions from birth which impact cognitive development including Down's Syndrome, Williams, cerebral palsy, Smith Magenis and Fragile X. We provide services to support our Clients to develop work and independent living skiills, and to manage their health & wellbeing. The Charity is commissioned by six local authorities and the NHS, and also provides a diversity of grant-aided programmes enriching the opportunities, resources and Specialist Staffing we can offer Clients.
We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis.
